Scenes from the Homestead

Ah the joys of not having a car. Shawn and I took a trip to Ikea which is a very convenient trip on the train. It wasn't so convenenient on the way home after we bought a coffee table, a chair, a chair pad, four linen boxes and 3 pillows. Yep, you read it all. We took ALL that on the train back to our house. We had to get creative and put a little sweat into it, but we made it home safe and sound.

I wanted to hold up something blue to the teal wall to try to get a contrast. The camera makes our wall look more blue than it is, it truly is a teal.



Plant corner! Notice the hope chest Shawn made me for my birthday two years ago. Yep, designed and constructed with his own two hands. What a sweetheart.

Our apartment rocks. I could really live here for a while, but in true ShawnandTori form, we are only staying for a few months. January brings a new dwelling which I know will not be as nice or perfect as this one. We are enjoying it while we can!
